In the early 1980's, I attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, exploring environmental studies and ceramics. Ceramics became my passion, I was attracted to the sensual process of creating functional forms. Eventually I would earn a BFA in Art Education.

In the 1990's, desiring a more immediate arisitic expression , I began to explore acrylic paint. I soon became consumed by the sculpural possibilites of the medium. I find that painting gives me the freedom to develop and experiment with  organic forms that I experience in nature.
